Ralph E. Johnson

Ralph is the Founder & President of Cleave Advisors, a professional services firm that delivers executive coaching, team building and leadership development programs. Ralph is also an organizational ombud, through MWI, a Boston-based mediation and ombuds service provider. In his 40-year career, Ralph spent 26 years at McKinsey & Co. in consulting and senior people leadership and development roles. Also, during that time. Ralph was an executive coach for the McKinsey Black Executive Leadership Program where he supported several dozen director and VP level executives. Ralph spent a collective 15 years as an engineer and manufacturing leader at General Motors, leading the Welfare Reform Agency in Cuyahoga County (Cleveland), and as CEO of Breakthrough Public Schools - a network of 12 K-8th grade charter schools. Ralph received his MBA from the University of Michigan Ross School of Business. He holds bachelor’s degrees in industrial engineering from Kettering University and Business Administration from Aquinas College. In addition, he is a trained Coach through the Co-Active Training Institute. Ralph was recently named Chair of the Board of Directors for Fellowship of Christian Athletes of Metro Cleveland.
